①Cotton and linen clothing: When storing, the clothing should be washed, dried and folded flat, and the wardrobe, cabinet box, and polyethylene packaging bags should be kept clean and dry to prevent mildew. It is best to separate white clothing from dark clothing to prevent staining or yellowing.
②Woolen clothing: After wearing all kinds of woolen clothing for a period of time, it should be dried and beaten to remove dust. Store in a dry place when not wearing. It should be hung and stored, and the fabric should be turned inside out to prevent fading and weathering and windmarks. Before storage, it should be brushed or washed, ironed, sun-dried, ventilated and air-dried for one day. High-grade woolen clothing is best to hang in the wardrobe, do not stack, so as not to deform and affect the appearance. When storing wool or blended garments, wrap mothballs in tissue paper and put them in your pockets or in your wardrobe or box. Plush clothing should be stored separately from other clothing to avoid shedding and contamination of other clothing.
③Chemical fiber clothing: Man-made fiber clothing should be laid flat and should not be hung for a long time, so as to avoid elongation due to overhang. When storing blended fabrics containing natural fibers, you can put a small amount of mothballs or insect repellants, but do not touch them; for polyester, nylon and other synthetic fibers, you do not need to put mothballs, let alone hygienic balls, so as to avoid two of them. Naphthol causes damage to clothing and fabrics.
★How to store cashmere coat? After dry cleaning, find a bag and hang it in the closet. Cashmere belongs to animal protein fiber, which is most prone to insects. It is best to use natural Chinese herbal medicine to prevent insects. Mothballs These are not very good, especially synthetic mothballs, which can damage the fabric.
★How to store silk clothes after washing?
Silk is a kind of protein fiber, which has strong hygroscopicity. When storing, you should first wash the clothes, preferably iron it again, which can play the role of sterilization and insecticide. Silk clothes are thin, soft, and afraid of pressure, and can be placed on top of the clothes pile. Light-colored silk clothes are best stored in fine white cloth bags to prevent wind and yellow stains. Sanitary balls should not be placed in silk clothing, otherwise the white will turn yellow.
★What should I do if my clothes get moldy?
①If there is mildew on woolen clothes, put the clothes in the sun for a few hours first, and then gently brush the mildew off with a brush after drying. If the mold is caused by oil stains and sweat stains, you can use a soft brush dipped in some gasoline to repeatedly brush the moldy place, then wipe it several times with a clean towel, and put it in a ventilated place to dry.
